Paws for the Cause
5th Annual five-mile Koala/Gael walk! The Ursuline Breast Cancer Awareness Club and the Iona Prep Campus Ministers team up again to “walk hand-in-hand” for the Paws for the Cause. Sun, Oct 6, at the Iona Prep track. Registration at 11am. Mass at 12 noon. Then start walking at 1pm. Also, our board member Joyce Ramirez will be holding a ZUMBA class on the football field mid walk. Donations will go to a scholarship fund, distributed to students in need at the discretion of the administration. A portion will also be donated to The Hope for Change Foundation. $10 entry fee. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk
Every Making Strides event is a powerful and inspiring opportunity to unite as a community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about what we can do to stay well from breast cancer, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them. Rockin for a Cure
Saturday November 2, 2013 from 8:00 pm-2:00 am at J.C.Fogarty’s, 60 Kraft Ave. Bronxville, NY. Join us for an evening of free food, raffles and prizes, draft specials and live entertainment featuring Westchester’s premiere classic rock cover band Thrown Together with special guest appearances by Stiletta and Classic Sounds.
